Scrambled Legs Running Group in Kent supports Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day

Scrambled Legs Running Group runs from Reynolds Fitness Spa in Sittingbourne, Kent every Sunday.  However, this week was slightly different with all members wearing 'Bandanas for Brain Tumours' joining thousands around the UK donning bandanas to #WearItOut to mark Brain Tumour Awareness Month.

Sarah Lambkin, the qualified Run Leader who set up the Group, was inspired to take part in 'Bandana Day' in memory of her mum who died from a brain tumour 8 years ago.  Sarah commented: “I started running myself to support The Brain Tumour Charity. Our run for Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day also fell on Mother's Day which made it even more poignant for me.  I’m determined to raise awareness of brain tumours, which have such a devastating effect on too many families."

Sarah set up Scrambled Legs Running Group in 2015 after she completed the Leadership In Running Fitness Course delivered by England Athletics.  Sarah stated "I set up Scrambled Legs to give like-minded people the opportunity to run. The feeling of helping people achieve their running goals is very rewarding.  I want to thank everyone for coming together on Sunday to show their support for such a worthwhile cause."

In addition to supporting the Bandanas for Brain Tumours Day, Sarah is also looking to raise £2,500 for the Brain Tumour Charity by running 1000 miles in a year which will end with the final mile of the 2016 Virgin Money London Marathon!
