About this run route

Start / Finish

Tea Room

This is your opportunity to take a run through the National Trusts beautiful Longshaw Estate, heading through woodland and open countryside, taking in magnificent views of the Hope Valley. There is also evidence of a medieval settlement on route

Parts of the route rely on livestock, helping to graze the site and creating homes for a variety of birds and bugs. This is what makes Longshaw so special and this delicate balance can be disturbed by dogs. Therefore we do not allow dogs to run with you on this route.

We host a variety of other outdoor activities suitable for the family and you don't need to be a National Trust member, so why not time your run with something to keep everyone occupied and meet up in the tea rooms afterwards to refuel and relax. Please note:

The layout and usage of the marked 3-2-1 running routes is the responsibility of the local authority or further education establishment that purchases the route marking signs and usual health and safety and duty of care considerations should be followed in laying out open, even-surfaced, easy-to-follow, safe, accurate, well lit routes at all times - with the landowner’s permission. RunTogether will not provide materials with which to attach the markers.

This route is part of the National Trust's Trust10 trail running initiative aiming to extend recreational running to 10km with a free event at 9am on the 4th Sunday of the month.
