Terrain is unstable and rough in parts. Mixture of grass and gravel tracks. Undulating and climbing routes  taking in stunning National Trust features of the Badbury Rings and Beech Avenue.                                                       Dogs welcome, but must be kept on a lead when close to traffic.2 mile route
 
Start at Heron Drove car park off the main road (B3082). Head east along Beech Avenue. At the gate take the track heading off towards the left passing Lodge Farm on your left. Go through the gate/over the style and straight on along the grass path heading north-east. The track bends to your left, following the hedgerow. Continue on gradually ascending in a north-westerly direction. Bare left when you reach High Wood and skirt along the outskirts of the woodland heading in a westerly direction with great views of Badbury Rings. At the track junction with Heron Drove and High Wood turn left descending in a southerly direction. Follow Heron Drove all the way down to the car park where the route is complete.                                          Grass, rolling, climb, rough in parts, undulating, gravel, track, low traffic, non-residential, scenic. Dogs welcome but must be kept on a lead if animals are grazing and when close to traffic
