Drills, relays and cakes make for a great Run Leader Forum

The idea of the inaugural Run Leader Forum, organised by Running Activator Kim Angell, was to bring Run Leaders together from across Leicestershire and Rutland to learn new skills and gain new ideas to take back to their Running Groups.

It was also a great opportunity to share experiences with other Leaders.

20 members from all different Run England Beginner Groups attended the session at SportPark, Loughborough, which was lead by Gemma Hillier and John Skevington. The evening consisted of Warm up and Activation Drills, Speed Work, Relays, Video Analysis of Running Techniques and of course not forgetting...homemade cake!

The Forum was a great success with lots of ideas shared and great feedback. A Run Leader Forum is now planned to occur regularly throughout the year. The Forums are FREE and are aimed at the Run Leader so please let Kim know what subjects / topics you would like to see at the next forum by emailing kimangell.running@yahoo.co.uk
