Lucy inspires Pushy Mums in Manchester
05 February 2015
Lucy Kennon is not only a keen runner who led a running group at her workplace, she has now taken on the task of inspiring mums to join her in getting fit as she heads out with her buggy!
LiRF leader Lucy runs on a regular basis and already led a workplace running group. She also ran in Debdale Park with her daughter in a buggy and wanted to encourage friends and others to do the same...
So that's just what she did! Participants Lucy has encouraged recently include two 'pushy mums', a pushy dad and a pushy daughter!
Lucy and Run! City Activator for Manchester, Nikki Holding, went through her session ideas on a visit to the park, and looked at where different stations could be and what general fitness exercises should be involved.
Nikki said: "All credit has to go to Lucy! She’s planned it all thoroughly - she even has spare running buggies for anyone needing/wanting one."
The group meet every Saturday, 10am at the bowling green in Debdale Park, Manchester.
Interested people need to email Lucy on firstname.lastname@example.org so they can join the closed Facebook group and be kept up to date.
