10th Start to Run group from Tring Running Club graduates
25 November 2014
Tring RC's 10th beginner running course since 2011 started recently. A large group of runners began their running journey, starting with walk/run repeats to then build up to take part in a 5k parkrun.
Tring RC was thrilled to see 14 graduates of this 10th Start to Run course complete the Aylesbury parkrun on Saturday 15 November 2014. They all ran brilliantly and achieved excellent times. All of them are hoping to progress along the running pathways at the club and join the Bridging Group as a next step in the coming weeks. The beginners have said, "An enjoyable and inspiring 6 weeks! I would like to thank everyone involved in running this course. I am amazed at what has been achieved in such a short time." Another added, "The course has given me the confidence to carry on running and proved that I can run!"
Tring RC runs two courses per year on average and they are always amazingly popular. The next Tring beginner session will start in April.
The courses are supported by volunteers from Tring RC and more information is available on the club website. The Start To Run group can also be found in the Run England group finder site along with many other local groups around the country. If you would like to get involved in running or leading a group please contact your local CCSO or activator.
