A set of 3-2-1 running routes – which consists of three, two and one mile loops and is available for anyone to have a go whenever they want – has recently been set up in Stanwick, Northamptonshire.

3-2-1 is Run England's project which aims to provide a range of marked out running or jogging routes across the country that anyone can have a go at. It's a way of providing a meaningful challenge to help more people get running.

The new 3-2-1 route is at Stanwick Lakes and the full details for the new route (and all other 3-2-1 routes!) can be found at runengland.org/routes. Be sure to take a look if you’re in Northamptonshire or keep visiting runengland.org/routes to find out when there is one near you! If there is already a 3-2-1 route near you, give it a go and let us know how it went!

According to the route providers, the route in Stanwick is traffic free, in a lovely scenic area and provides a great way for people to track their progress or set themselves a new challenge, regardless of their ability.

Sarah McVeigh, Jog Northants Coordinator, said: “The launch of the 3-2-1 route at Stanwick Lakes is great news for Northamptonshire! The area has a strong number of running groups and athletics clubs and the addition of this new running route offers yet another opportunity for people to get out running!”
