The days may be shorter and colder but winter is a great time to enjoy the benefits of fresh air and exercise. Joining a running group can lift your motivation and help you take your running to a new level!
Run England groups allow people to run in a supportive, beginner-friendly environment and take many forms such as beginner groups at affiliated athletics clubs, workplace groups and school run groups for mums – to name just a few.
All registered groups are led by qualified and insured group leaders, most of whom who are trained specifically in leading groups of beginners, so you don't need to worry about being left behind!
There are many benefits to running with a group, especially in the dark evenings when group running may be safer. The support of a group leader and the social aspect and encouragement of running with others is another reason why joining a group might be for you.
