3-2-1 running routes launch in Sheffield
29 November 2012
Activity Sheffield have set up permanently marked running routes in Sheffield’s Graves Park and Norfolk Heritage Park to encourage new runners using Run England’s 3-2-1 initiative.
There are three alternative marked-out routes on offer in each location, providing not only a fun route to use in some great areas of the city for running, but also a way to monitor progress and set challenges.
The routes were launched on Saturday 1st December at 9:30am at Graves Park, Sheffield.
Craig Blain, Run England Area Coordinator for the North, said: “The launch of the 321 routes are great news for Sheffield, the city already has a strong number of Run England groups and athletics clubs and the addition of the running routes offers yet another opportunity for local residents to pull on their trainers and give it a go.”
For those looking for some company, there are plenty of Run England groups in Sheffield which offer the motivation and support of other like-minded people as well as a qualified group leader.
