Making running events more inclusive!
14 July 2016
Inclusive Guidance Video released for running event providers.
Further guidance is now available to anyone who organises a running event to help them be more inclusive. The short animation provides guidance about how to provide a welcoming environment and how to make small and simple adjustments which will enable more disabled people to take part as well as improving the experience for all participants. The animated video also suggests what information to provide, what considerations may be needed for specific impairment groups and how to improve physical access.
- Click here to see the video (also embedded below) and find out more.
- The video supports our existing guidance document ‘Inclusive Guidance for Race and Event Providers’. Click here to download a copy of the guidance.
- The video further supports a number of existing resources to help attract and support more disabled people to take part in running. Click here for more disability information on the England Athletics website.
