The England Athletics Regional and National Awards have a category especially for Run England. This is your chance to get together to nominate your group or leader!

This year the nominations process has been simplified to make it even easier for your to nominate those people without whom the running community in England would not exist. Once again the winners of the national awards will be honoured alongside some of the countries greatest ever athletes as the Community Awards take place at the same Award Night ceremony as inductions into the England Athletics Hall of Fame.

Please work with others to make a single nomination for a candidate wherever possible – duplicate nominations may only have the content from one nomination put forward.

To make your nomination go to www.englandathletics.org/2015-awards-nomination.

As well as the Run England Group / Leader of the year category the other awards will be for:

  • Club / Club Partnership of the Year
  • Participation Project of the Year
  • Coach of the Year
  • Official of the Year
  • Volunteer of the Year

England Athletics Chief Executive Chris Jones said, "Athletics only exists and operates because of the tireless work and expertise of volunteers across England. These volunteers often also work with partners in the local community who share a vision and passion for athletics. Recognising these people and the fundamental contribution they make is extremely important - both for us as the governing body and for us as a sport. It is no exaggeration to day that if we ever lose sight of their role we lose sight of the foundations our sport is built upon.

"Presenting regional awards across England and then national awards to a selection of these people on a stage alongside some of the household names who are part of our Hall of Fame sends a clear message that volunteers are highly valued by our sport, and that all volunteers are essential to our sport's existence."

The awards are supported by Sweatshop, Athletics Weekly, Track & Field Tours and the AAAs. The Awards programme includes nine English Regional Awards. Regions followed by the National Awards with the winner chosen from regional award winners across all categories.

You can nominate someone for an Award until Friday 31 July 2015.
