National Trust have partnered up with Run England to deliver a new all-inclusive running group for the community.

National Trust and Run England have launched a Run England group in the picturesque grounds of Morden Hall Park in Morden for members of the National Trust but also open to the community as well.

The new running group will run every Sunday morning from 10am until 11am meeting and finishing at the Morden Hall Park cafe for a social post run coffee or tea. The group will be led by a motivational, supportive and qualified Run England Group Leader.

Daniel Cooke from National Trust said: "Working with Run England is a fantastic opportunity for us at Morden Hall Park and more widely the National Trust to further engage with our local community and for us to work together to get fit. We are really committed to allowing as many visitors as possible to explore our park and as part of that we enjoy thinking of unique ways to do this. By having a running group at Morden Hall Park we have new visitors seeing the wider estate whilst at the same time developing their fitness."

Jeff Hoadley, the group leader, also had this to say about his group: "The group is a leader-led, supportive group to help you get fit whilst running – it’s suitable for all, whether your starting point is walking or running."

Morden Hall Park is perfectly laid out for a running group with set paths around the entire park taking in the beauty of areas like Rose Garden and Wetlands. What’s more there is soon to be a Run England 3-2-1 route (3km, 2km and 1km loops) laid down in the park for the group to utilise so they know exactly how far they run or jog in a session!
