When RH Runners in Sussex started up in 2014, Debbie Weller joined a few weeks in and has been running ever since.  Debbie had to run-walk-run at the start and in 2015 she did her first 5k at Battersea with Jackie Wilkins (pictured with Debbie) and in January this year she ran the 10k in the London Winter Run series  This is a huge achievement for Debbie as she suffers from Transverse Myelitis.

Transverse Myelitis is a neurological condition in which the spinal cord is inflamed. Gordon Reid - winner of the Australian Open wheelchair tennis also has this condition.

Debbie said that she started the couch to 5k plan but without the help of the RH Runners she would never achieve what she has.

Group Leader Julie Morrison said, "At RH Runners we are immensely proud of what Debbie has achieved.  Long may it continue!"
