Runners ready for annual Santa Runs!

We're working our way through the advent calendar now, and  the first full weekend of December means thousands of runners up and down the country will be donning festive attire to take part in annual Santa Runs!

If you're heading to a Santa Run, make sure you take your camera and get snapping because you could win £50 worth of England Athletics gear in our Santa Run competition!

All you have to do is submit a photo of you or your running group in Santa or festive attire. We'll upload the best entries to the Run England Facebook Page and leave it to you to help us decide the winner!

But the photo doesn't have to be from an event, it can be a snap of you and your friends running on a group run and can be of either an individual or a group of runners – it really doesn’t matter... as long as it's festive!

There are plenty of Run England groups getting involved with Santa Runs this weekend, including our award winning 'Plodders' group from Runcorn, near Warrington, who are doing the Halton Haven Santa Dash!

More than 70 of the Plodders are taking part with helium balloons and going for mince pies after! Good luck and a bit shout out must go to group leader Louise Shannon who picked up all the Santa suits on Thursday!

One of London's biggest Santa Runs - the doitforcharity Santa Run 2013 also takes place on Sunday 8 December in London's Victoria Park and will include plenty of Run England members all doing their bit for charity.
