The City of London Mile is a brand new event coming to London in 2014 and offers something for everybody, so why not get involved and encourage your friends to do the same!

Registration is now open for the event taking place for the first time on Sunday 22 June 2014, starting and finishing next to St Paul’s Cathedral in the heart of London’s Square Mile. The one mile course follows a historic route which takes in Mansion House, the Bank of England, Guildhall & St Mary le Bow Church, and it covers part of the London Olympic Marathon course.

Organised by Run-Fast Ltd, the City of London Mile consists of five events: the Family Mile, Youth Mile, Corporate Mile, International Mile and the City of London Mile which is open to everyone!

One of the sporting highlights of the day will be the International Women’s Mile and the International Men’s Mile, seeing international elite athletes and Olympic medallists on the start line to battle it out for the inaugural winning title. Runners taking part in the City of London Mile will be starting in waves according to their predicted finish time, with the first wave scheduled for 9am. Please go to the website for the full event details and timetable.

The City of London Mile will see world class athletes as well as families, school children, business teams, charity runners and club runners taking part and running the one mile course.

All UKA members get a £2 discount, and every finisher will receive a medal and a goody bag.

The event's tagline is 'How fast can you run a mile?' so why not challenge your friends, or simply bring a friend along and have a go at the one mile distance together.
