The Age UK Leeds Abbey Dash 10K takes place on Sunday and hosts the sixth and final race of the 2013 runbritain Grand Prix. It is due to be the biggest and best edition of this race yet.

The Leeds Abbey Dash has been promoted by Abbey Runners for the past 27 years. This year's 12,000 entries is a new record as runners of all levels have signed up from all parts of the UK.

runbritain provides support for race organisers as well as intermediate to serious runners wanting to take their racing to the next level by entering the runbritain Grand Prix Series of road races.

Even before this final race, the 2013 runbritain Grand Prix has already proved an enormous success in achieving the goal of raising the standard of British endurance running.

The event will also incorporate the England Athletics 10K Championships which is sure to add to the atmosphere and at the front there will be strong fields in both men’s and women’s categories as it promises to be highly competitive on both fronts.

But it will not just be an elite affair as the junior dash will see those aged 8-15 getting involved and there will be plenty of fun runners an fundraisers in the 12,000-strong field.
