InStep Devon supporting running group leaders

InStep Devon is the new running network for Exeter, East Devon & Mid Devon and will coordinate Run England's beginner running programme in the areas.

Working with Run England and Active Devon, InStep are setting up running groups for new runners, aiming to get many of the 300,000 population running!

InStep would really like to hear from any group leaders working in the area who are currently leading a Run England group or club that already welcomes beginner runners, or are interested in setting up a new beginner’s group.

Project Coordinator Tony Gale said: “We have big ambitions, but we can only achieve them with the help of local leaders like yourselves and through our running network we aim to value and provide support to leaders.” 

InStep is offering support to group leaders through:

• Funding to develop existing running groups or start new groups
• Coach education and group leader bursaries
• Networking (three group leader forums are planned across the area over the next three to four months)
• Publicity
