Hayle Runners seize the Mo-ment

Hayle Runners' Walk and Run group and their 'In Betweeners' group took the opportunity on Sunday morning to celebrate Mo Farah's amazing performance in front of Penzance's golden post box.

The group is part of the Run Cornwall initiative backed by the Duchy Athletics Network and meet every Tuesday night (6-45pm for 7pm start) from Hayle Rugby Club with Leaders Susie Mackintosh, Jean Pollard and Anne Berriman where new joiners are welcomed.

As runners become more confident they can move from the Walk and Run group to the 'In betweeners' and potentially to one of the other eight groups in the club.  The beginners' groups often take the opportunity for a social run on Sunday morning and this week chose to run along Penzance promenade and combine a Mo-bot with Helen Glover's golden post box.

Craig Tonkin, Hayle Runners' Club captain said, "Everyone is welcome.  Our group leaders ensure that new runners are encouraged and supported what ever their ability.  The club is very proud of the work that Suzie, Anne and Jean continue to do supporting the variety of people who give it a try."
