Run England and Royal Caribbean recently ran a competition where the Royal Caribbean Runners group with the most members registered by the deadline won a visit onboard a cruise ship to meet Sally Gunnell!

Kevin King - group leader of Hackney based running group 'Britannia Caribbean Runners' was one of the lucky winners to visit Royal Caribbean's 'Independence of the Seas' ship and meet with Sally. The day entailed a tour around the large and spectacular cruise ship which can host up to approximately 3,500 guests at any given time!

Kevin then had an opportunity to lunch in one of the most exclusive restaurants onboard and finally spend time with Sally listening to her talk about her experiences and answer any questions.

'Royal Caribbean Runners' group members receive t-shirts and waterproof jackets as well being entered into a prize draw to win a free cruise! The leader also receives an i-pod shuffle once they have registered 10 members.

If you are in London and would like to create a new Royal Caribbean Runners running group please contact Run England's Area Coordinator for London Natalie Kavanagh-Clarke at nkclarke@englandathletics.org to find out more.
