Five new running groups set up in Blackpool
20 October 2011
Blackpool is the latest town to be bitten the Run England bug with five new running groups being set up as part of Run Blackpool.
Set up by Blackpool Council and NHS, the network of running groups will provide local people a new sociable way to get active and stay healthy.
Run Blackpool groups are operating from across the town at a range of different times so don’t worry – there will be a slot that suits you!
All the running groups are lead by qualified group leaders who are there to pass on their knowledge and motivate you in your running journey. If you are a little nervous about starting to run with a group, which there is no need to be as all groups are beginner friendly, why not bring a friend along too – it’s free, fun and a great way to have a catch up.
