Three new Run England 3-2-1 routes have been set up in the York area - the routes are all signed, with coloured arrows corresponding to the distance, and are there for anyone to use.

You can begin with 1k and then progress to 2k and 3k, or mix them up in any combination you like. In this case the 3-2-1 route is marked out using km markers, but mile or lap markers can also be used.

Run York are delighted to launch these 3-2-1 routes in an excellent location popular with runners.  The routes can help beginners measure their distance and more experienced athletes to measure their performance over timed distances.

The running group meets at 7pm every Thursday aimed at helping beginners to get started and progress their running.

3-2-1 is Run England's project which aims to provide a range of marked running or jogging routes across the country that anyone can have a go at.

You can download the Run York maps in PDF format by clicking here and find out more about 3-2-1 at www.runengland.org/3-2-1.
