Running relaxed

Running relaxed and tall is a phrase you’ll often hear. The good news is that it’s a simple trick to learn.

Tightly clenched hands or fists will result in tight neck muscles and a rigid form that burns unnecessary energy. A running tip to fix this is to run holding toilet roll cardboard tubes and don’t crush them. It’s surprisingly effective. No crushing means no tension!

Additionally, invest in some running sunglasses. Not necessarily for the look, but rather for the way they reduce the tension, again through your neck. A tightly furrowed brow as you squint into the sun isn’t good. A cool, relaxed look is. Again, simple!
