About this run route

Start / Finish

Athletics Track Car Park

The Wythenshawe Park 3-2-1 route comprises of three separate, marked and enjoyable routes of varying distances. The park is completely flat and all routes use a variety of terrain including, dirt tracks, woodland tracks, gravel, and tarmac. Route 1 would be the most suitable for push chairs but does include a bumpy section of path from the start and a section of dirt path along Wythenshawe road into the finish. Parking can be found at the Athletics track when open or there is ample parking within the park itself.

Route 1 is 1 mile long and starts on a bumpy gravel path heading towards the football fields and turns into a dirt track which can get muddy alongside the stream. The route then joins the main tarmac path that runs through the park. This road is open to cars so use the footpaths at the earliest opportunity. The route then goes out of the park and turns left along a dirt track (can get muddy) next to Wythenshawe Road leading back to the athletics track. This route would be suitable for the complete beginner just starting out!

Please note:

The layout and usage of the marked 3-2-1 running routes is the responsibility of the local authority or further education establishment that purchases the route marking signs and usual health and safety and duty of care considerations should be followed in laying out open, even-surfaced, easy-to-follow, safe, accurate, well lit routes at all times - with the landowner’s permission. RunTogether will not provide materials with which to attach the markers.
