About this run route
Start / Finish
Car Park of Emmetts Garden
The route starts at the bottom of Emmetts Garden car park and follows the bridle way to join the National Trust Red Route. This is a winding, circular, undulating route on woodland pathways. The route is clearly marked using red arrows and Run England markers. It is accessible to all users from walkers, joggers to runners. Large sections of the route are unsuitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The route offers excellent views of the South Downs. Please note, the route crosses country roads at 3 junctions so please take extra care at these junctions. Always follow the 3-2-1 route markers and in their absence follow the National Trust Red Route markers.
Please note:
The layout and usage of the marked 3-2-1 running routes is the responsibility of the local authority or further education establishment that purchases the route marking signs and usual health and safety and duty of care considerations should be followed in laying out open, even-surfaced, easy-to-follow, safe, accurate, well lit routes at all times - with the landowner’s permission. RunTogether will not provide materials with which to attach the markers.
