Sconce and Devon Park, Opposite Boundary Road Car Park

The route starts and finishes on a paved path which is situated close to the onsite café and toilet facilities. The route then runs along a small lane towards the Devon Pastures Local Nature Reserve. As you contnue to run in the nature reserve alongside the River Devon you will continue on a paved path until you reach the oak woodland. In the oak woodland the path is made from bark chippings. As you finish running through the woods you will contiunue up four flight of stairs. The stairs are not steep but are not suitable for wheel chair access. As you leave the oak woodland you will find yourself running alongside the grass football pitches on Devon Park. After finishing running through Devon Park you will continue towards the Tom Mann Car Park. After running through the Tom Mann car park you will again join a paved path that you will continue on until the end of thr route. Before finishing the route you will pass through on old english orchard and pass by the Queens Sconce which is a shedualed ancient monument from the english civil war. The course has many benches situated around it for resting and taking in the views. A map and way markers have been installed to guide you around the course.
