Running distance: 1.6 km

About this run route

Start / Finish

Start on the path in the centre of the playing fields adjacent to the stone wall Finish - 1.6k (same place), 5k (where paths converge near car park)

The route is suitable for all standards of runner but it does contain a steep incline and sharp descent which beginners will find testing but manageable.

For the most part, the paths are wide but there are a couple of narrower sections.

The loop of the playing fields is 1.6 km and covers tarmac, gravel and grass. In addition to the steep incline and sharp decline, the loop contains gentle undulations and a couple of sections on flattish ground.

Two laps of the loop is just over 3k, the a good distance for runners wishing to test themselves a little more.

Three laps of the loop and the extra section past the pavilion to the finish point completes a full, accurately measured 5k route which is also the Saturday morning parkrun route.

The route is not suitable for wheelchair users.
