About this run route

Start / Finish

By the side of the Visitors Centre – entrance on Millgate Lane

The Fletcher Moss Park 3-2-1 route comprises of three separate, marked and enjoyable routes of varying distances. All routes are mainly flat and involve a variety of terrain, some of which is liable to flooding and becoming muddy. There is a kissing gate about 400m from the start for routes 1 and 2 as the route goes out and back into the park, however this can be avoided by taking the grass path that runs inside the park. There is also a narrow wooden bridge section with some steps at the end of all 3 routes which may not be suitable for push chairs. Route 2 and 3 do have remote/secluded sections around Millgate Fields and Old Bedians RUFC, so running with a friend would be recommended. The park has very limited parking with the best place to park on Stenner Lane, which also has a pay and display car park.

Route 1 is 1 mile long and starts on tarmac through the park but then soon turns off onto compact gravel paths and dirt tracks. There are only very slight undulations with mainly solid ground underfoot and just a tricky wooden path section to negotiate near the finish. This route would be suitable for the complete beginner just starting out.

Please note:

The layout and usage of the marked 3-2-1 running routes is the responsibility of the local authority or further education establishment that purchases the route marking signs and usual health and safety and duty of care considerations should be followed in laying out open, even-surfaced, easy-to-follow, safe, accurate, well lit routes at all times - with the landowner’s permission. RunTogether will not provide materials with which to attach the markers.
