About this run route

Start / Finish

Entrance to the park off Birchfield Road

Birchfield 321 is a 2km circular route, set in Birchfield Park using wide tarmacked paths which makes the route ideal for wheelchair users or those with push chairs.

Birchfield Park is a large green space with equipment for various activities. It boasts Yeovil’s new Activity Hub, leading the way in free outdoor 'trim trail' style exercise equipment. There are several well-lit footpaths with multiple linking paths along the 2km route which includes both a gentle incline and decline before the 1km mark. This is an ideal location for those who are new to running or who plan to take along a buggy with them.

The route passes the new Activity Hub on 3 occasions, this provides users with several opportunities to access the exercise equipment  to complete some strength and conditioning exercises whilst completing the 2km route. The route is well signed using Run England 321 way markers on oak posts and lamp posts. It is only a short way from Lyde Road 3-2-1 allowing users to link both routes together to form a 5km route.
