About this run route

Start / Finish

North Oval

The Alexandra Park 3-2-1 route comprises of three separate, marked and enjoyable routes of varying distances. The park has recently undergone major restoration work and re-opened in August 2014. All routes are completely flat and mainly use wide tarmac paths except for a short section of route 2 around the lake where the path becomes slightly more narrow. All routes are suitable for push chairs.

Route 3 1 mile long, making it the most challenging in terms of distance. This is the same loop as used by the monthly women’s 5km runs, taking in the whole park. A challenge for all abilities whether it be a first timer aiming to run a mile non-stop or a regular runner timing themselves over the mile distance as part of some speed training.

Please note:

The layout and usage of the marked 3-2-1 running routes is the responsibility of the local authority or further education establishment that purchases the route marking signs and usual health and safety and duty of care considerations should be followed in laying out open, even-surfaced, easy-to-follow, safe, accurate, well lit routes at all times - with the landowner’s permission. RunTogether will not provide materials with which to attach the markers.
