About this run route

Start / Finish

Craster Tourist Information Centre

A delightful  short course incorporating woodland, fields and National Trust coastal paths.
You can park in the tourist information carpark for a small fee and then cross the road to start the run.
Go through the gate next to the 'National Trust Dunstanburgh Heughs' sign and run along the woodland path which soon becomes fields and continues into beautiful  coastal paths.
(You will see the iconic Dunstanburgh Castle on your left along the way)
This is very much an 'off road' route and the fields often have grazing livestock so can be muddy underfoot in wet weather. There are farm gates and stiles along the route which will make it unsuitable for wheelchair users and some pushchairs.
The route is  unsuitable for night running as there is no street lighting and there may be tree roots and boulders and other potential tripping hazards in the absence of daylight.
The route is well marked out with Run England  3-2-1 way markers

Please note:

The layout and usage of the marked 3-2-1 running routes is the responsibility of the local authority or further education establishment that purchases the route marking signs and usual health and safety and duty of care considerations should be followed in laying out open, even-surfaced, easy-to-follow, safe, accurate, well lit routes at all times - with the landowner’s permission. RunTogether will not provide materials with which to attach the markers.
