RunTogether on BBC1 & Sky Sports!

You may have spotted RunTogether on the TV, radio, newspapers & magazines over the last month, following the official launch on 10th January. Special thanks to two groups who allowed the camera crews to join them on their runs: RunTogether Strideout in Sheffield and RunTogether So Let's Go Running in Bexley. This has resulted in thousands of new people signing up to groups and running!

Pledge, register & RUN for a medal!

To celebrate all the brilliant running taking place every day all over England, we're giving a RunTogether Medal to the first 2,000 people who PLEDGE, register and run in two RunTogether Group runs before Valentine's Day.

To ensure we know when to send medals to your committed runners, it's important that you check them in to your run sessions using the Run Leader app or via the website.

Of course, Run Leaders are also eligible for medals by leading two sessions before Valentine's Day. As many groups have multiple leaders, please email to let us know when you've led your two runs: support@runtogether.co.uk

(The 2017 Medal Pledge has now closed)

Shining Example - Chew Valley Snails!

Our second Group of the Month is RunTogether Chew Valley Snails in Bristol. They've done a brilliant job setting up their group on the RunTogether website, providing information on both their runs and news from their community. They're also making great use of the booking and check-in system, meaning they always have their runners' details to hand and the group can see their collective progress in KMs.

#RunAndTalk in support of Time to Talk Day
Throughout this week, RunTogether is promoting #RunAndTalk, in support of Mind's Time to Talk Day. The campaign is designed to encourage people to run with others and talk openly about mental health, helping both to break down the sigma that can be associated with mental health and to provide people with opportunities to enjoy the mood enhancing hormones that running releases. For further information and to get involved, visit the Facebook page.

Get Social with @RunTogether_

We love connecting with RunTogether Groups on the national social media pages. Here's a great example from RunTogether Tewkesbury Allrunners - keep up the great work and those medals will be yours!

You can tag us on Facebook, Twitter & Instagram and keep up with the community via #RunTogether & #RunTogetherMedal. We have shareable content going live every day, from motivational quotes to competitions - watch out for the chance to win Aftershokz bone conduction headphones later this month!

Calling all groups training for London Marathon 2017!

We have an exciting media opportunity for a RunTogether Group, or runners within a group, training for London Marathon to feature in the media next month. Please let us know if this applies to your group by emailing support@runtogether.co.uk.

Until next month, happy running!
