A new meaning to The School Run

In Alnwick, Northumberland, it became apparent that there was a desire to run immediately after school drop off so 'The Willowburners, Burn to Run' was formed.

Meeting at 9:15am on at Thursday mornings at the Willowburn Sports and Leisure Centre, the mixed ability running group is proving increasingly popular.  The group meets during term time only as there are childcare issues during the school holidays.

All routes are mapped on mapometer should runners wish to run independently.  The faster runners loop back to keep the pack together so the difference in running ability isn't an issue and the group is very welcoming to beginners.
