Entries open for Lytham Hall Autumn 5K
28 September 2011
The Lytham Hall Autumn 5K in Lytham, Lancashire, on 9th October not only offers a picturesque setting but it is the latest event to join up with Run England in a bid to support participants in keeping their running going once the event is over.
It is the second such event where entrants to the 5K will be offered Run England membership to help them keep running more often and the Run England team will also be on hand at the event to offer help and guidance.
Lytham Hall (top, left), a magnificent Georgian mansion, is one of only two Grade I listed buildings on the Fylde in Lancashire (the other is Blackpool Tower!). The beautiful grounds are an ideal location for traffic free, scenic routes and all in all a great place to enjoy a run with friends.
After listening to feedback from competitors and local clubs following the inaugural Lytham Hall race last year the organisers decided to increase the event from 4K to a more standard 5K in a hope to attract more runners looking for a personal best time over the distance.
Entrants can also run safe in the knowledge that they are helping to give something back to the local community by entering as a proportion of all entry fees will be going directly to the Save Lytham Hall charity.
