FAQs - common questions from Run Leaders
Do I need prior experience with Parkinson’s Disease?
No! You will receive all necessary training, including a 2-hour online module from Parkinson’s UK. Your focus will be on leading running sessions, not providing medical care.
What if I can’t commit to the full 12 weeks?
We encourage consistency, but if you have concerns, let us know - we can discuss flexible options.
Can I still volunteer if I’m not local to the pilot sites?
At this stage, Run Leaders must be within travel distance of one of the four sites. However, we welcome interest from others, as we may expand in the future.
Will I be paid for this?
No, this is a volunteer opportunity, but you will receive free training, resources, and ongoing support.
