#EveryMilestoneMatters

As you've no-doubt heard, we're passionate about celebrating achievements, whether that's the first time a runner has kept going for a minute without stopping or a personal best marathon time.

#EveryMilestoneMatters has been created to encourage every RunTogether Group and runner to share their goals and successes with the community. We're delighted to publish two fantastic milestone stories from brilliant RunTogether Groups:

  • RunTogether Fly Girls are a Get Me Started group based near Wembley, London, who have signed up to their first event, a 5km Colour Run next month - a huge (and super fun!) milestone. Best of luck to all the Fly Girls taking part!
  • It was great to see five runners from RunTogether Greenwich Runners competing in the London Marathon last month. Starting the event in their local park, some of the group were first timers, whilst others were pushing for PBs. Huge congratulations to everyone who took part!

Want to grow your RunTogether Group?

1. Make sure you have run sessions listed on the RunTogether website.

This is how new runners will find your group and book onto your runs.

Did you know....there were around 20,000 brand new visitors to the RunTogether website last month looking for opportunities to join group runs!

ADDING SESSIONS

2.   Launch a Get Me Started 5km run session!

Did you know Monday evenings at 6pm are the most popular time for a group run? This year, over 2,650 RunTogether sessions have already taken place at this time.
3.   Use the free RunTogether marketing templates available to help you promote your runs.

These include posters,  roadside banners, business cards and flags. The templates are available on our new e-store, with printed options available to purchase, should you wish.

VISIT THE E-STORE
NB. The first time you use the e-store you'll need to create a new account, the login is not the same as your RunTogether Leader login.

Group of the Month: RunTogether Ashford

This glowing feedback from one of RunTogether Ashford's runners, Kate Exon, made it easy to select May's Group of the Month! This is a wonderful illustration of how their newest Run Leader is supporting runners to achieve their goals.
' I owe Ashford RunTogether everything for getting me marathon ready. It was an honour to run the whole way with Run Leader, Ruth Goddard. I feel strongly that everyone should know how fab RunTogether Groups are and suitable for everyone and every ability.' Very well done, ladies!

Having testimonials on your group's website page is a great way to reassure potential new runners that they will be welcomed and supported. Add a testimonial to your page

How to make running sessions private

Does your RunTogether Group operate runs for specific people (only), e.g. employees of a workplace/students at a university? The RunTogether website allows you to hide sessions from public view and share the link to your runs with your target audience so they can book onto your runs. To use this function, simply change the 'Status' of your runs to 'Direct Link Only' and share the link with your runners. To manage your runs click here

Until next month, happy running!
