WIN-WIN When you Nominate Your Group!

With just five days left to nominate your group for 'RunTogether Group of the Year', we have 8 x £50 vouchers* up for grabs to spend at DW Sports, so this really is a WIN-WIN opportunity! All you have to do is nominate by 12pm on Monday 16th July to be in with a chance of winning.

The annual awards, hosted by England Athletics, celebrate the thousands of volunteers up and down the country who make our fantastic sport happen every day. Nine regional awards ceremonies will take place during September-October and all those winners will be in the running (excuse the pun!) for the national title, awarded at the prestigious Hall of Fame event on 13th October.

It's quick and easy to nominate, simply visit the Volunteer Awards website and tell us why your group deserves to win. *Conditions apply. See for details.

Please note the competition deadline has now passed.

Dame Kelly Holmes with RunTogether Mole Valley Runners!

After sending many videos of their group in action to Dame Kelly Holmes as part of her #JoinInJune initiative, RunTogether Mole Valley Runners were over the moon to have this sporting legend join one of their sessions.

Kelly joined 27 RunTogether runners as they headed out from Effingham up to Polesden Lacey National Trust.  Run Leader, Debbie, led the session with a warm up involving pegs. She explained:

"It was hilarious, lots of fun and helped to ease people's nerves. We then headed off for a 8 to 9.5k run.  Faster runners looped back, this meant Kelly too, to ensure she was able to chat to everyone en route. She gave runners lots of tips & advice but also boosted the confidence of everyone. It was truly amazing, a lifetime event."

Tell us what's been happening for your group and you could feature in our next newsletter and in 'Your Stories' on the website. Email with your stories.
