New 3-2-1 routes making the most of country parks in Kent
03 July 2013
A set of 3-2-1 running routes – which consists of 1K, 2K and 3K loops which are ideal for newcomers and a great way to gauge progress – has recently been set up to make the most of the beautiful Shorne Woods Country Park in Gravesend, Kent.
3-2-1 is Run England's project which aims to provide a range of marked out running or jogging routes across the country that anyone can have a go at. It's a way of providing a meaningful challenge to help more people get running.
The routes follow woodland and grassy glades on wide pathways through the 288 acre ancient woodland site and they’re available for anyone to have a go at whenever they like.
All the routes start around 150m away from the visitors centre and there are accessible toilets and parking along with catering and other facilities.
As well as working with Run England, Kent County Council and the Shorne Woods Country Park manager have set up a new parkrun for people to have a go at a more challenging timed 5K.
