Brighton and Hove Women celebrate their new hobby
06 August 2014
Brighton and Hove Women’s Running Club recently completed a ten week Learn to Run course with a special parkrun outing for their amazing 40 beginners.
Club members took over the volunteer roles for the day at Hove parkrun and even provided a charity cake sale.
Pride of place went to the celebration cake made by club member and Group Leader, Lisa Smith Wallace – it tasted as good as it looked!
This summer Run England is inviting everyone to give running a go and celebrate all the great benefits that it has to offer. Whether it’s burning calories, saving money on the commute or relaxing and making new friends – the positives are endless.
So what are you waiting for? There are groups like Brighton and Hove Women's Running Club all over the country encouraging women to get running in a fun, beginner-friendly environment. Accept the challenge this summer and join us at www.runengland.org/whywerun.
