If you were inspired by the Virgin London Marathon and fancy giving running a go, then why not start by building up to a 5K with In the Running which is here to help you do just that.
As you probably know, running is one of the best exercises to get fit or lose weight, as well helping with stress and mental health, and the best part is – anyone can do it!
Whether you’ve never really run before or want to step up your fitness, In the Running, supported by Run England, will help you build up become a bona fide runner.
Over the next eight weeks, In the Running will help you get going, or pick up where you left off, and take to the road again to build up to 5K!
There’s plenty of ways you can access the support on offer and get ‘In the Running’.
Get connected on Facebook and Twitter and you’ll get tips to charge your engines, as well as advice, inspirational stories, recommendations and motivation appearing live on your news feed.
There are also plenty of programme’s available such as Run England’s 10K Personal Best plan.
So join the fun online and don’t forget to get ‘In the Running’! Your local Run England groups and 3-2-1 routes are always at hand to help! You can find your nearest running group or route at runengland.org/groups and runengland.org/routes respectively.
