Running groups open sessions for Try Athletics Events
01 March 2012
Running groups are signing up to host Try Athletics Events to mark 100 days to go until London 2012. Between 16th – 22nd April 2012, Run England groups are simply hosting their normal weekly sessions but opening them up to the community to give running a go!
By joining in, groups will be supported with a resource pack, online resources and will have access to exclusive rewards.
Yesterday was 150 days to go and Over and Cottenham Run4Fun group marked the occasion by signing up to turn one of their weekly runs into a Try Athletics Day. The group joined a growing number of Run England groups signing up to host events. Over and Cottenham Run4Fun group will be hosting their event on 19th April 2012 and are welcome all abilities to come along and try some running.
Would your group like to take part and turn one of your runs into a Try Athletics Event? It’s very simple and you will receive support from England Athletics, have access to rewards and have your group and event promoted through various communications.
