Home Run wins sustainability award
19 October 2012
Congratulations to all involved with Samsung Home Run, as the project recently ran out winners for the Best Sustainable Initiative Award at the Event Awards 2012.
On the evening of Friday 5th October, Samsung Home Run stood against a number of well established organisations, such as NEC Birmingham and Fresh Montomery’s Hotelympia, for the award. In what came as quite a surprise to the Samsung Home Run team, the project was crowned the winners!
Samsung Home Run was delighted to be recognised within the industry after just one year, and will continue to support Londoners to run home.
Craig Dews, CEO of Limelight Sports for Home Run said: “The team has worked tirelessly over the last year to bring this initiative to life and this award stands as a tribute to each and every person who has made Samsung Home Run what it is today. Our aim is to develop this initiative even further in 2013 and would like to thank Event Awards for its support.”
Home Run offers a series of guided group runs back home from central London - they even carry your bag! Groups are registered with Run England and led by qualified, insured group leaders. Visit the Run England Group Finder map to search for Home Run groups.
