Long established Reebok Sisters running group joins Run England
07 December 2011
A London-based running group that has been in existence for 20 years is hoping its new link up with Run England will result in it going from strength to strength.
Group leader Christine Bond is not new to leading a running group – she’s been leading the Reebok Sisters for the past 16 years. Under the guidance of Christine, the group caters for people of all running abilities – from walk/joggers to marathon runners and with members ranging from 25 to 70+ years of age.
The group’s success in developing its members’ fitness levels is reflected by the events they’ve competed in this year – including the Virgin London Marathon, the BHF White Night Midnight Half Marathon in Brighton, the Kent Cross Country League and, for athletics club Cambridge Harriers, the Southern Counties Vets Track and Field League.
Christine’s principle aims as a leader are to be enthusiastic and make new members feel welcome. She is happy to cater for all levels and distances of running.
If you are interested in joining the group, please contact Christine, whose contact details are on the Reebok Sisters’ web page. To receive more training guidance, news and information from Run England, and special offers on running kit, join Run England for free using the quick and easy sign up form.
Don't forget to post any festive photos of you or your running group on the Run England Facebook page to stand a chance of winning a pair of the latest Mizuno running shoes. Click here for more on our Santa Run Facebook competition!
