This is a hilly route, starting on bridleway then splitting to become footpath only. It is mixed off road terrain; rocks, stones, mud and grass. You need to be dressed for the weather and carry a spare windproof jacket, emergency blanket, snacks and water. It is very exposed up on the fell. We will climb as far as everyone attending can manage and to allow return to Hardraw for the time allocated.
