Longrun Meadow is a picturesque, traffic free and easily accessible open space close to Taunton town centre.The network of paths and tracks over the flat terrain provides beginner runners with the perfect place to get started. The meadow is popular with walkers, runners and cyclists and is a great place to get active.

The route is flat. The paths vary along the route from compact surfaces to loose and gravel surfaces. The route is well signed with markers on oak posts, gates posts and bridges that cross the meadow. There are a number of benches should you need a resting point!

The uneven surfaces on some parts of the routes means that this route is not suitable for wheelchair users.

The courses have been designed so that you can start and finish the 2km and 1km route at 3 different entrances to the meadow. 1) by French Weir Park, 2) by Freize Hill, 3) by Somerset College/Castle School.
