Would you like to run the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon? Run England has two places available for registered and active Run England group leaders.

Just last week it was announced that Britain’s double Olympic and world champion Mo Farah will face some of the greatest marathon runners of all time when he makes his full marathon debut at this year’s event which once again promises to be an occasion like no other!

The two winners who will receive guaranteed entries to toe the start line at the 2014 Virgin Money London Marathon will be drawn from a ballot of all group leaders who are registered and use Run England's online group register.

All Run England groups are led by group leaders with a valid qualification and an up to date DBS (formerly CRB) check. Run England's online group register, where leaders can add their group members and record session attendance, is a useful tool to help leaders manage their groups and acts as an accurate record in the unlikely event something does go wrong.

To be eligible, let us know that you actively lead a group of 10 or more members by logging in at www.runengland.org/login and adding your group members to your group’s online register. If you’re having trouble, download instructions here.
  3. Be over the age of 16.
  4. Send a very brief email with your full name, group name (exactly as it appears at www.runengland.org/groups) and contact details (email address and phone number) to runengland-online@englandathletics.org to notify Run England of your intention to be included in the ballot.

Mo Farah VLM London Marathon 2013The competition will run until midnight on 25 January. Group leaders who have satisfied the above criteria by this date will be eligible to win. We’ll contact the two lucky winners shortly after the closing date and ask that winners respond to confirm acceptance of their places within 48 hours. Failure to do so will mean that the places are forfeited and re-drawn to ensure winners have time to enter online before the 31 January closing date.

The prize is a guaranteed place in the Virgin Money London Marathon 2014, but winners will still be expected to pay the standard entry fee. Click here for full terms and conditions for our competitions. Winners must also agree to terms and conditions which apply to all Virgin London Marathon entries.
