About this run route

Start / Finish

Buile Hill Mansion

A circular route starting from the centre of the park opposite Buile Hill Mansion. The route begins within the informal parkland of the former Buile Hill estate before descending through the wooded slopes into the flat parkland of Seedley. Please be aware the park can be busy particulary during weekends and Bank Holidays. Please show consideration for other park users especially young children. All footpaths within the park are used by service vehicles. During periods of heavy rainfall the tarmac footpaths do occasionly flood and can become slippery with ice and wet leaves.Due to the steep terrain this route is not recommended for wheelchair and pushchair users. Benches and rest areas are available throughout the park.

Starting from the centre of the park next to Buile Hill Mansion the route heads north up the slope before turning left just before the Hart Hill/Manor Road entrance. The route then heads west down the slope passing the terrace of the fomer Hart Hill Mansion on your left before arriving at the Weaste Lane entrance. At this point  the route again turns left and follows the perimeter of the park. After 350m the route arrives at the lower Weaste Lane/Edward entrance. Turning left the route follows the southern boundary of the park through the wooded slopes for 380m before a sharp right turn just before the former bowling greens and a descent into Seedley Park. The route then follows the park's perimeter footpath down the slope to the Gore Avenue entrance and bears left to continue along the footpath through a largely flat area of parkland just inside the park's boundary with Lower Seedley Road. After 380m the route arrives at the main entrance to Seedley Park. Staying on the perimeter footpath the route then heads back following the footpath adjacent to the park's boundary with Seedley Terrace. After 220m the route begins to head uphill past a flight of steps and through the wooded slopes. On arrival at the 1st footpath junction after the flight of steps the route turns sharply to the right. Shortly after passing a car park on the right hand side the route arrives on the park's main drive. The main drive is open to vehicles please take care whilst crossing. Once across the main drive the route continues gently uphill along the perimeter footpath through a pleasantly wooded area before arriving at the Hart Hill/Manor Road entrance. At this point the route takes a sharp turn to the left and heads downhill and back towards Buile Hill Mansion.
