Local runs are guided by friendly Run England group leaders along scenic planned routes. Everyone is welcome to join in these fun led runs and discover some of the best places to run in Leicestershire.

All runs take place on a Sunday morning at 10am and cost just £2 per person (car parking charges may apply for some locations). Group leaders will accommodate runners of all abilities and runs will last for no more than one hour or five miles in distance. Shorter distances will be available for beginners.

Book online at www.lrsport.org/running to reserve your place!

The first Leicestershire Local Runs are confirmed as:

  • Watermead Country Park, Sunday 9th June, 10am, meet at King Lear’s Lake car park
  • Victoria Park, Leicester, Sunday 7th July, 10am, meet at Granville Road car park

Beverley Hooper, Recreational Athletics Activator, said: “Running in a group is a fun way to exercise. Our qualified run leaders will ensure everyone is welcome and will show people some great places to run.”
